    Overview

    Reporting to Frontend Lead,

    an exciting opportunity to join one of Europe’s fastest growing health tech startups as a Frontend engineer.     About the role

    The Front end engineer has a pivotal role in supporting the creation of  solutions for our carers and customers. A key focus of this role is to ensure that teams are enabled to develop technology helping us to provide great care to all of our customers while improving the experience of everyone involved in care delivery. You will wear many hats in this role, working with our engineering teams (on and off shore), UX teams, operational staff and carers. This requires a deep knowledge of our processes and a passion for using technology and people to improve them. Your work will have a huge impact on the way that care is experienced.

    You thrive in mission-driven organizations, working with collaborative teams who are passionate about utilizing technology and building products to better the world around us. You have worked in an engineering role for around five years and champion development best practice. You have the ability to work with a number of scrum teams supporting them in their approach to software development and technical architecture.

    Role and responsibilities:

    • Develop new features and libraries with reusability and security in mind
    • Responsibility for the end-to-end development of high end UIs and Micro frontends
    • Designing, implementing, and reviewing high quality, maintainable code
    • Coaching and managing junior engineers on workstreams, including the tools and practices that we use
    • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
    • Collaborate with product team and UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and designs
    • Participate in continuous improvement of the codebase, it’s architecture and testability
    • Collaborate with backend developers and your team

    As an experienced Front End Engineer you’ll have experience of the following:

    • Strong understanding of implementing responsive design, cross-browser UIs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript and API’s
    • 3+ years of experience with React and it’s ecosystem
    • Understanding of the general principles around SPAs, state management, security, scalability
    • Experience in TDD, E2E testing of SPAs
    • Experience working with UX/UI designers
    • Working in agile environments
